Since it's foundation in 1974, Cylindrix has grown from a small machine shop to a strong international manufacturing company. Our cylinders have since earned the trust of companies such as Alcan, Reynolds, Mitsubishi, G.E. Canada, Bechtel, Dofasco, Stelco of Canada and numerous others. Our high standards of quality and workmanship have been our only advertisers and guarantee.

Our main products are heavy duty, steel construction, air and hydraulic cylinders. These are specially designed for use in steel mills, paper mills and many other industries. However, our field of expertise is in large scale, non-rotating stainless steel cylinders of up to 40" bore and 600" stroke.

From 1991 to 1997, 90% of our business centred on exportation. Since then we have put much effort on re-tooling to increase our capacity of production as well as increasing our inventory to accelerate our delivery time.

Furthermore, we set ourselves apart from our competitors in our ability to construct cylinders specially made to fit customer specifications. Our experienced workers and work methods give us the versatility required for affordable custom cylinders of all sizes.

These efforts have allowed us to reach our new targets for Quality, Price and Delivery. We offer strong design and engineering of maintenance free cylinders at 30% to 50% less than our competitors, with a delivery, which is 20% to 50% faster than previously.

We are currently in the process of implementing ISO Quality insurance system and we are strengthening our position in the international market.
